In Memory of Bob Clark

On May 27th, 2015, Bob Clark, drummer for Rick, passed away after a long bout with cancer.  Bob performed with Rick and recorded on 'Listening to the Rain' and 'Head of the Line'.   A very talented individual, with a great sense of humor, Bob will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

Rest in Peace

What's Happening

Rick was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus on December 22, 2014.  One day later, on December 23, he was meeting with his team of doctors, nurses, and administrators at the William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center.  Thru the month of January, he underwent CT scans, PET scans, ultrasound endoscopy and a pulmonary function test.   On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, Rick began his treatments.  He received radiation Monday thru Friday, and chemo once a week, until March 11.  April 29th was surgery day where surgeons at Johns Hopkins removed part of his stomach and part of his esophagus.  They reattached what was left of his esophagus to what was left of his stomach.  Rick started his recovery from the surgery.   After some consultation with his doctors, Rick started a second round of chemo in September.  After several treatments, he decided to forego any further chemo.

As of September 1, 2016, Rick is cancer free.  Recovery is slow, but he is making progress.  Rick is now performing limited engagements including benefits for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
